Paul Austin Kelly's lyric tenor voice has earned international acclaim during his distinguished career as a star of the opera world, performing leading roles with the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, and Milan’s La Scala. On the concert stage he has performed in such venues as Théatre des Champs-Elysées and Notre Dame in Paris, Amsterdam’s Concertgebuow and New York’s Carnegie Hall.
He has appeared as soloist on the BBC’s Friday Night is Music Night as well as numerous radio appearances for BBC Radio 3, and has recorded numerous discs for the Opera Rara label, Decca, and Telarc. His performance as Tonio in Donizetti's La fille du Régiment from La Scala, Milan, is available on DVD.
An American by birth, Paul has an affinity with the Great American Songbook. His CD with legendary pianist and music director Kenny Clayton, The Song is You, features timeless classics sung with style and peerless vocal excellence. Paul has also toured the UK and Ireland with soprano Lesley Garrett as her guest artist, and has most recently been giving concerts together with Dame Felicity Lott.
